Astra - Superior Platinum Double Edge Blades
With a sharpness of 4 on a scale of 5, these Astra Superior Platinum razor blades give you a set of excellent double edge blades. The blades are sharp but forgiving. Especially in combination with the Rockwell R1, this is the perfect combination for beginners. In fact, for beginners, we prefer a slightly sharper blade like this in combination with a mild safety razor. This reduces the risk of irritation.

- Put your shaving brush in warm water for half a minute so that it can absorb the moisture properly. Take out your shaving brush and gently squeeze the brush to remove the excess water. Too much water will result in poor lather.
- Now pass the shaving brush with circular movements over the shaving soap. Don't press too hard.
- Now grab a shaving bowl or other bowl and beat the shaving soap in the bowl back and forth in a circle. Now a foam forms. Is it too dry? Add a few drops of water. Do many bubbles remain? Then you added too much water.
- Apply the foam to your face where you want to shave. From under your chin to all the way above your cheeks. Massage your face well with the brush so that there is a thick layer of foam on your face.
- Take the safety razor and place a double edge blade.
- Now shave the hairs with short strokes. Don't push. This causes irritation. Let the knife do the work.
- Always shave in the direction of hair growth.
- Finished? rinse the remaining shaving soap from your face with lukewarm water.
- Grab a towel and pat your skin dry. Do not rub but dab. Your skin is now very sensitive.
- Take a few drops of aftershave in your hands and gently dab over your face.
- Ready to go!
