Suncare

Sun care is an essential part of a healthy skin care routine, especially during the sunny months. Exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays from the sun can have harmful effects on our skin, including premature aging, sunburn , and in severe cases, skin cancer. By using our sun care products, we can protect our skin against these harmful effects and enjoy the sun in a safe way.

Why sun care?

The sun is an important source of vitamin D, which is important for our health. However, prolonged sun exposure without protection can lead to skin problems. Sun care helps to protect the skin from harmful UV rays, prevents sunburn and reduces the risk of skin cancer.

Main sun care products

  1. Sunscreen: The most important product in sun care is sunscreen . These creams contain ingredients that absorb or reflect UV radiation, protecting the skin. Sunscreen should have a high sun protection factor (SPF), preferably 30 or higher, and provide both UVA and UVB protection. It is important to reapply sunscreen regularly, especially after swimming or sweating.

  2. After-sun products: After exposure to the sun, it is important to moisturize and soothe the skin with after-sun products. These products contain ingredients such as aloe vera, chamomile and vitamin E, which help repair the skin, moisturize and relieve any irritation.

  3. Lip balm with SPF: The skin on your lips is thin and sensitive, making it extra prone to sunburn. Use a lip balm with SPF to protect your lips from drying out and burning.

  4. Self-tanners: For a tanned complexion without sun exposure, self-tanners are a safe alternative. They contain dihydroxyacetone (DHA) which reacts with amino acids in the skin, creating a natural-looking tan.
