Childhood friends Tedd and John grew up in the 1980s. At that time, they were already aware of how the closure of factories affected production in Chicago and the rest of the USA. When they spent evenings together, they often returned to the topic of how cool it would be to bring great local produce back to the market.

Fast forward, 20 years later you see that both men had made careers in other sectors. Still, the idea persisted and in early 2010, Chicago Combs Co. born.

From the discussions of the young boys of the past, a craft high-quality men's comb was often talked about. There was still nothing comparable available, all disappeared from the market. That's why Tedd and John decided to make their childhood dream come true: great combs and bringing back the afro comb for men to the market.
