What Causes Dry Skin?

One of the functions of our skin is to protect us from external substances and moisture. The top layer of the skin, the cornea, consists of densely packed layers of dead cells and is surrounded by fats (lipids). The stratum corneum resembles a stone wall, where cells form stones and fats form cement. Together they form a barrier through which only a small amount of water can pass. With dry skin, the barrier is damaged, causing the skin to lose more moisture and become dry.

To take good care of dry skin, we have highlighted a number of products below.
